Nevada Vines & Wines Touts Four Courses with Wine for $40, New Venue for Annual Christmas Party

Nevada Vines & Wines members savored locally-made whites and reds at their November gathering, served with an Italian meal, and topped off by tiramisu. The gathering featured discussion led by winemaker Greg Ross of Walker River Estate. Story continues below…

Ross served his 2019 Gruner Veltliner, and described other wines whose makers were not present. The group tasted Adrian Dyette’s white, made from cold-hardy grapes called Louise Swenson; J Bar M 2016 Zinfandel from Jade Miller; and a Frontenac from Altman Family Vineyards.

Dan Shore was on hand to talk about his 2017 Cabernet, which accompanied the main course of Spaghetti with Meatballs.

“Where else can you get all this for 40 bucks?” asked Teri Bath, former president of the organization.

G.P. Catering prepared the four-course meal onsite at the Resort at Tanamera property. Nevada Vines & Wines plans to hold its annual Christmas party at the same south Reno location.
